On Wednesday, November 11, join The Summerlin Council in giving back to our local Veterans by donating goods to U.S. VETS Las Vegas. Taking place from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., The Summerlin Council Veterans Day Care Package Drive will be a drive-thru event located in the Vistas Community Center parking lot. Most needed items include new underwear, socks, shoes, hygiene products, backpacks, grab-and-go snacks and gift cards.
U.S. VETS Las Vegas operates two residential facilities with more than 330 beds of transitional and permanent housing and a community support office. Employment services are provided through a work-force program that helps 110 veterans return to employment each year. Every donation made directly benefits Veterans, Veteran families, programs and operations at U.S. VETS Las Vegas.
For more information, call 702.341.5500 or Email recreation@summerlincouncil.com. Thank you in advance for supporting U.S. VETS Las Vegas.
