Give blood and make it a summer of love at Summerlin Council’s Blood Drive with the American Red Cross. Taking place June 21 at the Willows Community Center, residents are invited to help ensure our community has a steady blood supply while making a life-changing difference for those in need. Individuals in good health, 17 years of age or older and weighing at least 110 pounds, can donate during the COVID-19 pandemic. With safety being the top priority, Red Cross employees will follow thorough protocols to ensure the well-being of all those present.
As an added benefit, all blood drawn will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies. Donors who test positive for COVID-19 antibodies may have the unique opportunity to help patients fighting the disease. The results of your antibody test will be available by logging in to your Blood Donor account on the Blood Donor App or online within one to two weeks after your donation. You can also find the results of your mini-physical, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and hemoglobin levels.
Donations are by appointment only between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and can be made by visiting www.summerlink.com or calling 702.341.5500. Please note that you are required to wear a face mask and have a temperature check before entering the facility. For more information, please call 702.341.5500 or email us at email@example.com.
