KEYS TO COLLEGE PLANNING SUCCESS
Session One of the Education is Key! Workshop
Who…What…When…Where…Why…How…This workshop will focus on the essential steps in the college planning process.  Participants will learn the importance of a college degree, how it will benefit their lives and what steps they should take now to best position themselves to enter college.  This workshop is the foundational key and a general overview of the college preparation process. 

Ages: 12 and older

COLLEGE ADMISSIONS BOOT CAMP
Session Two of the Education is Key! Workshop
This intense workshop will ensure that participants complete the necessary steps to gain admissions to a college or university right away.  Participants will build the foundation of the college application by exploring their post-secondary options based on their individual profile.  A comprehensive account of the application process will help participants begin the process of completing the Common Application, thoroughly understand how to interpret their high school transcripts, acquire recommendation letters, and understand how the ACT and SAT exams relate to the application process.

Ages: 16 and older

THE FINANCIAL AID AND COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP SUCCESS KEYS
Session Three of the Education is Key! Workshop
This informative workshop will expose participants to the college funding world and provide tips and strategies to understanding financial aid and scholarships.  Participants will have a firm grasp and appreciation for all forms of financial aid, including what is available, how to apply and even the pitfalls of certain types of aid.  Ben Kaplan’s curriculum “How to Go to College Almost for Free” and related materials will be utilized.

SO YOU WANT TO PLAY COLLEGE BALL? KEYS TO SUCCESSFUL TRANSITION TO NCAA SPORTS FOR STUDENT-ATHLETES
Series Four of the Education is Key! Workshop
Student-athletes will be led through the NCAA Eligibility Center requirements for students wanting to participate in sports at the collegiate level.  Students will receive detailed facilitation through the eligibility process and gain social readiness skills for life as a college student-athlete, including scholarship truths and myths, time management strategies, culture shock and self-advocacy through communication.  This workshop will also discuss issues for participants who are already out of high school, but still have a desire to pursue collegiate athletics.  Parents are encouraged to attend at no extra charge.

HOW MONEY REALLY WORKS! FINANCIAL PEACE FOR TEENS
Session Four of the Education is Key! Workshop
Have you ever wondered why the rich keep getting richer and the poor and middle class don’t? What are the secrets to building wealth that the rich teach their children? Why is it that more than 19 percent of all bankruptcies are filed by people under the age of 25? How come more than 89 percent of teens want to learn how to make money grow, but most schools don’t offer a course in financial literacy? How Money Really Works is designed to touch on the ins and outs of personal finance, as well as provide the principles of sound financial knowledge so they can avoid financial difficulties as they become adults.  Dave Ramsey’s “Foundations of Personal Finance” video series will be utilized in this workshop.

TWO MILLION MINUTES
Session One of the ACCESS Student Leadership Series
Regardless of nationality, as soon as a student completes the 8th grade, the clock starts ticking. From that very moment, the child has approximately Two Million Minutes until high school graduation…Two Million Minutes to build their intellectual foundation…Two Million Minutes to prepare for college and, ultimately, career…Two Million Minutes to go from a teenager to an adult.  This informative workshop will prepare and motivate participants to use their two million minutes wisely, and provide strategies to maximize their time effectively.  Participants will leave this workshop with a clear understanding of the implications their choices of today have on their future lives tomorrow.

THE LEADER WITHIN YOU
Session Two of the ACCESS Student Leadership Series
Leadership is influence…nothing more; nothing less.  This workshop is designed to introduce participants to the world of leadership development.  Based in part on John C. Maxwell’s book  Developing the Leader Within You, participants will learn what a leader is, how to become a person of influence, how to debunk the myths of leadership, and how they can grow as a leader no matter what position they are in life.

THE WINNING ATTITUDE
Session Three of the ACCESS Student Leadership Series
How can two students with the same skills and abilities, in the same situation, end up with two totally different outcomes in life?  For most, it is their ATTITUDE that makes the difference.  Based in part on John C. Maxwell’s book The Difference Maker, participants will learn the skills needed to make attitude their biggest asset, and how to overcome the five biggest attitude obstacles.  In addition, participants will learn how to develop an attitude that will have a tremendous impact on school, family, and daily living, as well as how to maintain the winning attitude for the rest of their lives.

SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOR TEENS
Session Four of the ACCESS Student Leadership Series
Truly remarkable outcomes are possible when students are able to connect their educational experiences, including their individual identity, with their future life’s journey. This exciting and motivational workshop will challenge participants to clearly identify what they really want, and explore the options and the journey they need to take in order to acquire it. Through interactive, hands-on activities, participants will be prepared to complete a Dream Box and Life Transition Map, develop a Strategic Circle of Influence, and construct a Personal Brand Identity Product.
