ADULT ADVANCED KUNG FU CLASS
The Adult Advanced Kung Fu class meets on Fridays and is reserved for students who have achieved the rank of brown sash with black fringe or above, or have permission from the instructor to attend the advanced sessions.

JAZZERCISE
Burn up to 600 calories in one fun, powerful, effective, 60-minute total body workout! Every Jazzercise group fitness class combines dance-based cardio with strength training and stretching to sculpt, tone and lengthen muscles for maximum fat burn.  Choreographed to today’s hottest music, Jazzercise is a fusion of jazz dance, resistance training, Pilates, yoga and kickboxing.  All fitness levels are welcome and you can start anytime as classes are ongoing.  Attend as many classes as you like each month! PILATES GROUP REFORMER CLASSES—“RE-FORM” YOUR BODY
Look your best, move more freely, and feel better. Each class is 55 minutes and is
in a six-week session.  
 
Introduction to Pilates:
Begin your participation in our Pilates program here. You learn to operate your Balanced Body IQ Reformer safely, apply six basic principles of Pilates, speak the Pilates language, and perform a group of beginning exercises that are the building blocks of effective Pilates workouts. The class may be repeated until you feel comfortable moving on to another level.

Beyond Intro:
Do you feel comfortable with the introduction, but not quite ready for the full blown workout? Then spend time in this new class to practice, learn new exercises, and build your strength before moving on to Essential Level classes.  (Prerequisite: Introduction to Pilates)

Intermediate Pilates:
This class expands your repertoire into a full body Pilates workout. Increase your vitality and strength and improve your flexibility, coordination, and balance.  Make this enjoyable workout an essential part of your weekly fitness maintenance.  The level of difficulty will be determined by the experience of the participants in each class.  (Prerequisite:  Introduction to Pilates)

STRENGTH TRAINING FOR WOMEN USING DIODATICS

TAI CHI - SOFT MOUNTAIN BREEZE
Learn the short form style of an ancient Chinese exercise consisting of slow relaxed movements that provide physical exercise for the body, concentration for the mind, and meditation for the spirit.  Also learn CHI KUNG: Breathing for Vital Energy. Tai Chi improves overall fitness, balance, coordination, and agility.  It has also been shown to lower blood pressure and heart rates, promote relaxation and release stress and tension.  Those who practice Tai Chi on a regular basis tend to have good posture, flexibility, improved range of motion and mental alertness, and sleep more soundly at night.

YOGA WITH MAUREEN
Class focus is on the fundamentals of beginning hatha yoga, including correct alignment for the maximum physical and psychological benefit in each posture. Within the eight-week session, students will experience for themselves the positive results of therapeutic yoga. Stretch out muscles, lower blood pressure and combat other symptoms of a sedentary lifestyle. Educate yourself about your own body/mind/spirit connection from a certified instructor with more than 20 years of teaching experience in yoga, meditation and breath work. Learn to relax at the end of every class with healing sound power of crystal bowls and Tibetan bells. All levels are welcome from beginning to advanced students. Take a break from an over-scheduled lifestyle, insomnia and worry caused by constant overstimulation.

  • You must be a member of the North, South or West Community Association to purchase a punch card
  • Punch cards are non-transferable and expire on the last day of class for each session (Session One ends March 19; Session Two ends April 21)
  • Punch cards are renewable within each session
  • There will be no refunds for unused punches
  • Each class participant must purchase their own individual punch card
