FIRECRACKER 5K AND ONE-MILE FUN RUN/WALK

The Summerlin Firecracker 5K kicks-off the community’s Independence Day festivities on Friday, July 4 at 7 a.m.  Be at the Trails Park to run for fun, or simply cheer your “patriot” across the finish line.  An award ceremony will be held immediately following the 5K event for the top finishers in each age category.  The 5k entry fee is $20 per person (checks only made payable to “The Summerlin Council”) if registered on or before Thursday, July 3.  Day-of registration is $25 per person.

The Summerlin One-Mile Fun Run/Walk starts approximately 15 minutes following the start of the Firecracker 5K Run.  Bring the family and enjoy a festive walk along the Patriotic Parade route.  Participants of all ages are welcome!  The entry fee is $15 if registered on or before Thursday, July 3 ($20 day-of registration).  Participants can register the day of the event for $20 at the Trails Community Center from 6 to 6:45 a.m. 

Registration forms are available beginning June 1 at the Gardens, Trails, and Willows Community Centers .  All participants receive a souvenir T-shirt.  Pre-registered participants can pick up their race packets from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 3 at the Trails Community Center .  Day-of registration will be held from 6 to 6:45 a.m. at the Trails Community Center .  For more information, please call The Summerlin Council at 341-5500.
